“It was an outstanding course. It provided a whole new approach to dealing with issues that stretched far beyond the basic parameters of the subject. The time management and communications sections gave me tools to solve many problems. I would recommend it for anyone.“

Skills and Tools for Managers

What do we do?

In the tool box is:

  • • How to create an outstanding team
  • • In depth communication
  • • Giving valuable constructive feedback - delivered across the organisation
  • • Delegating effectively
  • • Managing time efficiently
  • • Objective setting linking to motivation

Why?

So many managers are in their position of leadership because they are good at their trade. Managing people is a whole new skill altogether, and usually results in the trade they are good at going to the wall! This course gives the manager the whole tool kit that includes managing self … which is where good leadership starts.

Who?

For anyone who is managing, from 1 person to a whole organisation.

For anyone who has ever:

  • • Felt the relentlessness of team gossip and infighting? Energy going in the wrong direction?
  • • Found meetings a Groundhog day experience. Or the same people always monopolising and others slumped with a vacant stare?
  • • Found the appraisal system or lack of one not working?
  • • Never had the guts to tell a co-worker that they say 'basically' every other word when they are stressed with a certain client?
  • • Found it easier to complete a task that should have been delegated?
  • • Thought there was never enough time in the day? Find themselves rushing late to meetings?
  • • Noticed a lack of engagement or enthusiasm to get certain jobs done by the team?

How?

  • • 4 days
  • • In groups of 4-8

positive feedback

An Ethics Resource Center study found that 90% of employees value leaders with integrity as highly as they value income.

“Very applicable to me right now as a new manager. Very sceptical when I came in, but did pick up a lot of very helpful info. Nicola was excellent.“

“I was able to work through difficult problems and come up with solutions myself, with guidance.“ Sarah • Managing Excellence
