aha!

What is an 'aha!' ?

It is an insight into your life where you instantly 'get it', as though a light bulb has gone on and you are out of the dark and into the light.

This is just for you, so be really honest and put down the number that springs into your mind first. Speed and gut feel are good words to remember here.

NOTE: These scores are not collected by our server, but remain calculations absolutely confidential to you, depending on who is leaning over your shoulder in your office.

Choose a number on a scale of 1-10
1 = NOT me at all
5 = I'm half-way ...
10 = You have me spot on

DO YOU...

Have satisfying relationships and great conversations?

Feel you can be yourself with people (no hiding behind a mask)?

Show perseverance and tenacity – you follow through on what you say you are going to do? (ie: Jan-Dec at the gym)

Have a healthy balance of work, play and exercise?

Tap into what motivates you and look forward to your day as you spring out of bed?

Have a clear idea of what you want to achieve in the short, medium and long term?

Look back on each day and feel satisfied?

Have time to reflect on life and have a sense of gratitude for what you have?

Hear enough laughter in your life?

Now change the scoring to the OPPOSITE scale

Choose a number on a scale of 1-10
1 = You have me spot on!
5 = I'm half-way there ...
10 = NOT me at all ...

DO YOU...

Lose your temper and regret it later?

Find it difficult to express how you feel sometimes?

Get frustrated – by certain people, or how about traffic?

Avoid aspects of life or people?

Find it difficult to get started in the morning?

Compete with people in a negative way?

Have an unhealthy relationship with one or more of the following: food, alcohol, coffee, exercise, money, sex, work?

Spend more time having negative than positive thoughts? (eg: They're not going to like me. I'm not good enough)

Feel out of control in some aspects of life?

How about a little competition with yourself?

Make a note of your scoring today and return to these same questions in 3, 6 or 12 months time.

The idea is to gradually increase your personal score by making changes in the way you approach your life.

Hopefully there will be some big 'aha's where you instantly 'get it' and the light goes on.
Eg: Why do I always think the worst when I go into a meeting with my team?

ACTION!

From now on I'm going to think positively! And to do that I'm going to take 2 minutes preparation in visualising the best outcome just before I go into the meeting.

Other aspects of change may be subtle unconscious shifts within you.

If you want to achieve your next level of learning, growing and enjoyment of life, ask yourself one simple question:
Eg: For question 1 – if you have scored 6

Ask yourself

'What will I have to do differently to go from a 6 to a 7 so that I can have more satisfying relationships and great conversations?
