Pokemon Go’ is bringing Rayquaza back as a Shiny.
The green dragon Pokemon will be available in the raids on Wednesday (31.07.19) 9pm (BST) until September 1 at 9pm.
The free-to-play mobile games’ developers Niantic removed Rayquaza from the game in March 2018.
The Legendary dragon and flying type Pokemon – which first appeared in the ‘Pokemon Ruby’ and ‘Sapphire’ titles – had been featured in the augmented reality (AR) title for a month.
Rayquaza’s addition to the game followed the inclusion of the other Generation three Legendaries Groudon – who was available from December to January – and Kyogre, who entered the game in January and was removed before Rayquaza’s addition in the February.
Legendary Pokemon are only available to players in ‘Pokemon Go’ who enter Raid Battles at gyms, in which they must team up with several other players to take down the almighty pocket monster.
The most recent Community Day held on July 21, saw players get the chance to catch Mudkip, and if it evolved into Swampert by the end of the event, the Pokemon learnt a special move.
