Terminator: Resistance’, the latest ‘Terminator’ video game will only be based on the first two movies in the franchise and will feature a new hero called Jacob Rivers.

A single-player first person shooter set in the ‘Terminator’ universe will launch this year but ‘Terminator Resistance’ will only feature content from ‘Terminator’ and ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’.

‘Terminator: Resistance’ will launch on 15 November for PS4, Xbox One and PC and will be set in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, three decades on from ‘Judgment Day’.

The game will tell an original story, based on a brand new hero character named Jacob Rivers, a private in the Resistance army who is marked out as a threat by SKYNET and targeted for termination.

The press release states:

“SKYNET may be destined to lose this war, but at what cost to Jacob? Experience the events leading up to the decisive final battle, smash SKYNET’s Defence Grid and help decide the fate of mankind in the war against the machines!”

It added that T-800 will be among a host of enemies, new and old, in the game.
